Hello Again Junkers,

Ki and I are tinkled pink about the opportunity to be on the road again for the 2007 Country Home Junking Journey, sponsored by Eucerin. Yep, you heard me right, we’re back at it again! We had a great time last year and this year promises to be even better. We’ll be covering some new territory this time around. Our first stop on the whistle tour is the J & J Show, in Brimfield, MA and our second is First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. So everyone, please mark your calendars and stop by for a visit.

OK, folks I have to tell you that we have been busy little junkers since last summer. I know we’re from Minnesota, but when the going gets cold smart junkers head for warmer climates. We have been traveling throughout the country speaking (about junk of course), which provided an opportunity to become acquainted with new cities. Most people go out to eat after a long day of work, but we hit the local junk haunts before we put our feet up and call it a day. What fun! Every city we visited, large or small, had its own special brand of junk treasures. We felt the need to pick up and bring home a trinket or two on every leg of the journey. As you can imagine we were flagged more than once going through airport security with our unusual cargo. Here’s a tip: Ship your junk home rather than carrying it with you. It took us awhile, but we finally learned that lesson!

We also took a fantabulous trip to Central Coast California for the Country Home Antiquing Highway story. Three heavenly hot and sunny days jam packed with junking. Ahh, those are the days you treasure forever. Again we scored some very cool stuff like swing seats, large castors, awesome hangers, vintage jewelry, and even a five-minute home cleaner for washing your unmentionables. I know you’re thinking we should probably have our heads examined for finding interest in cast-offs such as these, but remember, it’s not just about the piece of junk, it’s what you can do with it.

So, any hoo, along with fresh junk come plenty of fresh ideas. Come join us at one or both Country Home Junking Journey locations so we can share with you what we have up our junking sleeves this time. Can’t wait to see you!

Until then, keep on junking!

Sue and Ki
